Pamela Henderson was born in Dallas, Texas and grew up on a ranch in Union Valley, (a rural area with a population of 205 and only one stop light located next to the volunteer fire department which also serves as city hall).
After receiving a BFA in Communication Design from Texas State University in San Marcos she headed west to pursue an illustration degree at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, where she graduated with distinction in 2004. She lived in the Los Angeles area for eight years until relocating to Austin, Texas in 2009.
Pamela’s imagery ranges from portraiture to narrative scenes that manage to elicit beauty and malevolence at the same time. Her work has been recognized by American Illustration and has been included in various exhibitions throughout the United States and abroad. While her focus has primarily been exhibiting she has produced illustrations for clients such as the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, Violet, Bust, Highpoint Lowlife Records, and several other independent labels and recording artists.
