If you’re driving around L.A. and you see these red and yellow billboards advertising a popular BBQ competition—well, that BBQ chef would be me. I designed the logo for this event, that, and my personal passion for good barbeque (Kansas City!) convinced the client that I might be a good poster boy for “stuffin’-your-face-family-fun!”

I had a business meeting today - lots of notetaking and lots of blah blah blah blah. I get back to my studio and toss my yellow legal notepad next to my printer; it’s covered with doodles - as usual. In the bottom left-hand corner - in my handwriting - are the words:

I spent an entire day with my son. We shared a bagel. We walked in the park. We both lay in the grass and pointed out the birds and squirrels to each other. We laughed. I gave him a bath, kissed his sweet face, and tucked him into bed.

This typifies why the internets rule and every other form of media sucks. The Beastie Boys have released just their vocal tracks for downloading and have asked the fans to remix at will.
