I’m so Ronrey
While being in a new town is great, I’m starting to feel the pangs of disconnection from all things that were once familar and that I took for granted. I’m looking forward to . . .
1. making friends up here (I don’t know anyone, this sucks)
2. finding an awesome park where I can read and/or meditate
3. locating an art gallery where they don’t sneer at me just because
I wear my BBQ’n at the Autry baseball cap
4. eating a burrito that comes even slightly close to King Tacos’
5. a visit from my Mom & Dad
6. finding good hikes
But mostly, number 1.

Hi, I found you by accident. I love serendipity.
Somedays I look homeless and other days all glammed up, but I always stay true to myself even amidst the sneers.
I hope you find some awesome friends who won’t mind it one bit if you wear your “BBQ’n at the Autry” cap.
You could always walk into a gallery with your cap on and pretend to be talking on your cell phone about some fabulous pieces you just purchased and how they were a steal for 10 grand. Watch the attitudes change. You could act really interested in a piece and then say, “No, I’m just not feelin’ it.”
Good luck!

Do friends who live 4 hours away count?
And if SF isn’t too far to go for a burrito, you must try Pancho Villa Taqueria in the Mission District . (3071 16th St, San Francisco, CA (415) 864-8840). The best.
As for hikes and parks, I know a few, though they may be too far as well… try the Roberts Recreation Area (East Bay) for Redwoods and the like, or the Marin Headlands for some great views and rugged ocean stuff (N of the Golden Gate).
Are you settled or still living out of boxes?
