The one style that was always missing from Thumbtack Press, in my opinion, was a really good side show banner artist — well — we now have the best in the world, Johnny Meah, also known as the Czar of Bizarre!

What makes Johnny’s work seem so authentic is that he IS authentic! He has lived and breathed the circus culture for most of his life, not only as an artist, but as a clown (an occupation he still pursues on occation) when he joined the Hunt Bros. Circus in 1954. And his art medium? A full-fledged supersized canvas ready to be fastened to the traveling trucks that are coming to your town (notice the eyelet fasteners on the canvas above).
