The Thumbtack Press image by Erik Swanson, Floodgates of the Soul, was painted long before this last hurricane season. 9/22/05: We have been getting submissions, submissions, and more submissions from Thumbtack Artist candidates, albeit we refuse about 99% of them — Why? Why do we reject so many artists and how do we go about selecting art that sells? We have a top secret (until now) fool-proof formula that we utilize:
