Don’t wait for Grandma to kick, teach kids about death today! Fun for the whole family!

In Memory of Skippy by Brandon Reese

Brandon Reese strikes again with two great new prints! In Memory of Skippy (pictured) and Parchment Bluefish.

These remind me of prints from my own childhood. Mom wouldn’t buy cutesy, childish junk to decorate my room, she bought stuff she liked. I distinctly remember an etching of a nasty looking hare with its claws bared by Albrecht Dürer, and a beautiful theater broadside for a San Diego production of MacBeth (complete with blood and witches!!). I loved those images, I poured over them. She challenged me with art, which is probably why I became an artist. Today, it seems we can only decorate our kids rooms with Elmos or Teletubbies - why?
