Biography:

Hi, hello there, my name is Wilson Hsu.

I was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, but I’m a native to Los Angeles, California. I now currently reside back in Rio, Brazil and the new change has been quite an experience.

I attended Otis College of Art and Design and majored in Illustration, soon afterwards freelanced and have participated in several art shows.

Artists who have inspired me at an early age are ones such as Van Gogh, Warhol, Basquiat, CY Twombly, Egon Schiele, Roy Lichtenstein, Keith Haring, and Edward Hopper. I describe my art to be fictionally playful with dazzling rays of color. I like the idea of Sci-Fi futurism next to simple fruitful organic shapes of nature. Incorporating the things that I love and hate in this world I like using Low-Fi technologies of Flash and my home printer to create Hi-Fi complex visuals. Mixing digital media with a hand touch leaves my viewers feeling “Wow, how did you do that?”:-)
