Shino Arihara is a freelance illustrator whose work has appeared in publications such as Time, Wall Street Journal, and Seventeen. She illustrated her first picture book, "Ceci Ann's Day of Why" by Christopher Phillips, in 2006. She has since worked on three more. She graduated from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, and now lives in Altadena with her husband and their medium size dog.
