Read More About This Artist| Biography: | Quincy Sutton is a Designer and Art Director Living in Los Angeles. Originally from Columbus Ohio, raised in the 70’s and 80’s he was heavily influenced by 70’s Mod design and 70’s graphic design. He noticed art all around him because most advertisements and posters were hand drawn. Some of his illustration influences were Herb Lubalin, Richard Amsel, Bob Peak, Ronald Searle, Frank Frazetta and Jack Davis. The décor of the 70’s and 80’s also had a heavy influence, and although some things were a tad too bold and sometimes tacky, there was also a richness and beauty in the abstract and floral patterns that pushed the limits of interior design. Quincy studied at the Columbus College of Design. To pay for school he did caricatures at Cedar Point and also for birthdays, and Bar Mitzvahs. After studying at the Columbus College of Art and Design, Quincy moved to Los Angeles.
