Luis Melo was born in Lisbon, Portugal in 1981 and lived there until 2009.
He used to draw for fun, but it became serious while taking a 5-year graphic design course. Luis learned illustration by himself and chose to take that path instead of graphic design.

| Biography: | Luis Melo was born in Lisbon, Portugal in 1981 and lived there until 2009.
His professional work is mostly related to video games, both freelance and full-time. In early 2009 he moved to Shanghai to work on Alice: Madness Returns and explore Asia, and since 2010 he's been back in Europe, trying something different.
