Linzie Hunter

Linzie Hunter is a freelance illustrator and lettering artist based in London, UK.   A graduate of Glasgow University, she was a theatre stage manager before studying illustration at Chelsea College of Art and Design, London.  Her freelance illustration work is created digitally but when away from the computer she enjoys traditional print-making and book-binding. Her work is often influenced by her love of all things vintage and any spare time is often spent hunting down paraphernalia from the 50s and 60s (including but not limited to: pulp books, robots, kitchenalia, old picture books, 50s science magazines and other random ephemera).

Biography:

Linzie Hunter is a freelance illustrator and lettering artist based in London, UK.   A graduate of Glasgow University, she was a theatre stage manager before studying illustration at Chelsea College of Art and Design, London.  Her freelance illustration work is created digitally but when away from the computer she enjoys traditional print-making and book-binding. Her work is often influenced by her love of all things vintage and any spare time is often spent hunting down paraphernalia from the 50s and 60s (including but not limited to: pulp books, robots, kitchenalia, old picture books, 50s science magazines and other random ephemera).

Her lettering and Illustration has been used in books, magazines and advertising campaigns internationally and her clients include: Time Magazine, The Guardian, Gillette, BBC, Nike, Random House, Bloomsbury, Penguin and Scholastic.
Linzie’s first postcard book (“Secret Weapon”) a series of typographic images based on the subject lines of spam emails was published by Chronicle Books in 2008 and her first picture book "A Small Brown Dog With A Wet Pink Nose" was published by Little Brown in Jan 2010.
